As an individual most beings have a tendency to be peer pressured anytime while living, but there are some who have the strength and right mind to overcome and think alone and to make self decision. In to kill a mockingbird “Harper Lee” relays individual vs society for what is to provoke an individual’s motivation from belief is influenced by society.A man’s decision is influenced by society, but that doesn’t mean man has to abide by societies system. What Atticus sees the population doing will influence him to make his own decision even if  it goes against the community. “Indoors, when Miss Maudie wanted to say something lengthy she settled her fingers on her knees and settled her bridgework. Atticus was tormented by society and was able to think and take action individually he also displays courage, and with courage he sought justice
