is the state of being alone and feeling sad about it. On this aspect,
loneliness can also be described as isolation of oneself, commonly results to
distancing ourselves from other people. In the perspective of those people,
they think that they are unwanted because no one attempts to befriend them. We believe
that through building up a wall, one can avoid rejections from everyone.
This way of thinking sometimes forces
them to just isolate themselves and become an introvert in this matter. They tend
to be more quiet, reserved, and introspective in a sense. Additionally, they
also feel deprived because they have no one to talk to with their own problems.
Simply, they do not like to spend lots of time interacting with other people
because they might feel awkward after a conversation. However, they do
appreciate people’s company whom they are close with. They also have this
behavior working independently rather than in groups. These feelings neglect their
emotional well-being thus creating a person an antisocial behavior.
A way to counter loneliness is to find
out why you feel lonely. Through this way, one can know what appropriate action
should be expressed. We will have the best chance possible to connect with our
own selves and others. Furthermore, we can also engage ourselves in sports, or
look for hobbies, passions or interests that picks our interest.
