Many times it happens that we do certain things in our life at first but slowly and gradually it becomes our habit. We tend to perform those activities daily unknowingly. We never think of its outcome as we have become habituated towards it. The habits which we cultivate doesn’t always benefit us. Its individual’s duty to sketch out the difference between a Good and a Bad habit as it directly affects our body, brain and at last our life.It is truly said that, Bad habits are like a comfortable bed, easy to get into but hard to get out of.While trying to change a habit, our brain will resist at first but at last, it is up to us.It should be our decision that whether it is fruitful for us or not. Here I have listed 7 habits, which many of us may have cultivated unknowingly but we should try to get out of it as soon as possible because on a long-term basis it can be hazardous to our health and may raise major health issues. 1.  Skipping BreakfastThird party image referenceFigure 1. Skipping breakfast ( breakfast is quite literally the meal meant to “break the fast” from all the hours you spend sleeping. Many of us skip breakfast due to running short of time and busy schedule.According to Nutritional Specialist, one of the most common reasons people skip breakfast is because they’re just not hungry in the morning.But skipping breakfast daily can seriously affect your metabolism and your brain power.Third party image referenceFigure 2. An adult requires 6-8 hours of sleep.People tend to do late night activities such as watching Tv, reading, being online etc but doing it on daily basis and going late to sleep can harm your health.Third party image referenceFigure 4. sleeping late ( High sugar consumptionMouthwatering sweets, desserts, and candies are always ones favorite. One cannot resist oneself from having it.But exceeding the level of sugar consumption may harm.High sugar consumption will not directly cause diabetes. High sugar consumption( Sleeping more especially in the morningEarly to bed and early to rise makes a man healthy, wealthy and wise. For proper functioning of the brain, it is necessary to have 6-8 hours of sleep.The best time to get into the slumber is from 10 p.m  to 6 a.m.Waking up early morning and having vitamin D from the exposure to the sun is the best medicine.Having a good sleep of 6-8 hours is fine but oversleeping or sleeping more in the morning leads to side effects.So if you have the habit of waking up late in the morning try to abandon this habit as soon as possible.Wake up early in the morning and enjoy the beauty of it by having a morning walk or meditation.Third party image referenceFigure 6. sleeping more in morning ( Eating meal while watching TV or computerMany children have the habit of watching TV, computer or using a cellphone while eating. It is also common for adults to eat lunch in front of their computer so that they “don’t waste time” and continue working. The problem itself doesn’t come from watching television but rather from when people (or anyone at any age) eats without paying attention to the amount, the taste, etc.A meal should be taken with full attention as meal regulates our body mechanism.One should try to eradicate the habit of eating and watching TV or computer at same time.Third party image referenceFigure 7. watching tv while eating ( Cap/scarf or socks while sleepingPeople in winter generally have the habit of sleeping with a scarf/cap on the head.But while sleeping exchange of air is a requirement between our body cells and the atmosphere. If we cover our head and other parts of the body while sleeping, it leaves a bad impact on our brain.
