more dense will go down. In the movement of these air particles, a convection process has occur.
Since warm air is leaving the area above the land, the land is now a low pressure area.
Likewise, as cool air goes down, the water is a high pressure area. In a high pressure zone,
particles experience a high force, and in a low pressure zone, they experience a lower force. The
high force “overpowers” the lower force, pushing the particles from the high pressure zone to
the lower pressure zone. The pushing of air particles between
the two areas is what we call as a breeze. A breeze is named from
where it originated from. Therefore, the breeze is called as sea
breeze because it originates from the sea.
At night-time, the water is much warmer than the sand
because as said, the water has a high heat capacity, not only that
it needs more energy for it to heat up but once it heat up, it takes
a lot of time for it cool off. In this time, the air particles move
from the sand which has a high pressure area, to the water which
has now a low pressure area. The breeze is then called as land
breeze.
